The Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts, Kansas City’s flagship entertainment venue has one goal: uniting performers with patrons. The vision of VP Operations and CFO, Budd Jeffress is clear – if a task does not meet this one goal, it is outsourced. This operating model means a facility that would usually be staffed by upward of 150+ has just 30 full time employees. Not a single member of the team is a systems engineer, technician or even a CTO.
